By Car
Vars is on the road leading from Guillestre to the top of the pass (Vars). From southern France, take motorway A51. From northern France, take motorway A48 through Grenoble then you have 3 passes to choose from: Lautaret, Bayard ou La-Croix-Haute.

By Train
The closest train station is Montdauphin-Guillestre, 15km down the montain. Direct train from Paris, Marseille and also Valence and Grenoble with a connection with the Eurostar.

By Plan
Closest airports are Grenoble-Saint-Geoirs, Marseille-Provence (bus service Navettes Blanches on saturday in winter - prior booking mandatory) and Cuneo-Levalgi.
