An ecological hotel at the height of sustainable tourism
The sustainable tourism sings into broadly defined sustainable environment, social & economy.
As a result the sustainable tourism has to :
- Make optimal use of environmental ressources that constitute a key element in tourism development , maintaining essential ecological processes and helping to conserve natural heritage and biodiversity.
- Respect the socio-cultural authenticity of host communities, conserve their built and living cultural heritage and traditional values, and contribute to inter-cultural understanding and tolerance.
- Ensure viable, long-term economic operations, providing socio-economic benefits to all stakeholders that are fairly distributed.
5 concrete actions for an ecological hotel
For being registred into the sustaintable tourism and to assist our clients, we have decided to set up 5 following actions :
- Eco-friendly purchaising policy, particularly via purchase of local products for the restaurant or by the eco-label products – Ecocert, relating to maintenance.
- Water management : regular control of consumtion for prevention of leaks. Non automatic towels washing.
- Energy management : thermal upgrading, proportionate heating, closing of window shutters...
- Waste management : separation of recyclable goods, waste reduction policy.
- Sensitize and build up responsability of the tourists : display in the rooms, welcome booklet, bring up the local partners.
